What to Expect at Your First Visit
Your pet’s first visit is an important time for us to get to know them and you, and answer all your pet-related questions. We’ll want to know about any health concerns they have, behavioral problems, and other issues, but we’ll also want to discuss their current routine at home and offer recommendations to make their life (and yours) easier.
Additionally, your pet’s appointment will include:
- Checking all their weight and vitals (heart, lungs, and temperature)
- A nose-to-tail physical examination
- Possible blood work
- Vaccinations, if needed
- Dispensing parasite preventatives if needed
- Discussing your pet’s nutritional needs, exercise regimen, house breaking/litter box training, and more
We understand that many pet parents have busy schedules, and booking an appointment can be difficult. That’s why we welcome drop-offs, where you can drop off your pet first thing in the morning and have our doctor treat or examine them while you’re working or out running errands.
When you call us at (407) 862-6892, be sure to let us know if you’d prefer a drop-off appointment for your pet. Our drop-off times are 8am - 9am and 12pm - 1pm, and our pickup time is 4pm.
